The Whanganui Community Living Trust is a registered charity, established in 1992. We support people with psychiatric disabilities living in the community. We are locally governed and have a range of support services covering urban Whanganui and Marton.

All current services are home-based (i.e. provided at a person’s own home) and our support workers are all mobile, to assist with transport if necessary.

The Trust believes people with experience of mental illness are entitled to the same human rights protection as any other person. Supporting full and active participation within the community is part of our approach to enabling self-management and self-determination for people.

Recognising that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solutions to individual support needs, we co-operate and collaborate closely with many others within the health and disability sector to find workable options for people.
