Community House Whanganui takes the safety and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers and clients very seriously. Our position on the COVID-19 virus is based on the current advice from the Ministry of Health and other government agencies coupled with our recognition that a lot of our staff, volunteers and clients are particularly vulnerable to the virus due to age and health.
COVID-19 Alert Levels 1 & 2 | DO NOT ENTER COMMUNITY HOUSE PREMISES IF YOU HAVE COLD OR FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS AND FOLLOW ALERT LEVEL GUIDELINES, AS A CONDITION OF ENTRY YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SCAN OUR QR CODES OR PROVIDE YOUR INFORMATION FOR CONTACT TRACING PURPOSES.
COVID-19 Alert Level 3 | ACCESS IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR RELEVANT ORGANISATION FOR FURTHER INFORMATION OR TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.
COVID-19 Alert Level 4 | COMMUNITY HOUSE IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.
GENERAL ADVICE TO STAFF, VOLUNTEERS AND CLIENTS
- Avoid close contact with people with cold or flu-like illnesses.
- Cover coughs and sneezes with disposable tissues or clothing.
- Wash hands for at least 20 seconds with water and soap and dry them thoroughly: before eating or handling food,
after using the toilet,after coughing, sneezing, blowing your nose or wiping children’s noses, and after caring for sick people.

Located on the first and second floors of 60 Ridgway Street, Whanganui. We are an Incorporated Society and you will find our our office on the first floor Room 102.
